New English Translation
33 So he caused them to die unsatisfied[a]
and filled with terror.[b]
34 When he struck them down,[c] they sought his favor;[d]
they turned back and longed for God.
35 They remembered that God was their protector,[e]
and that God Most High[f] was their deliverer.[g]
